Job Description

Internship Title: Supply Chain Project Coordinator
 
Department: Faculty of Business and Law
 
Location: ARU Chelmsford or ARU Cambridge
 
Start date: Monday 20th May
 
Duration: 12 weeks
 
Hours: 20hrs per week
 
Rate of pay: £12ph
 
Duties:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with the objectives of the Access and Participation Programme for BSc courses, PE, Etc. 
  • Identify key milestones, deliverables, and timelines for project implementation. 
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects address specific access and participation needs. 
  • Maintain accurate records of funding sources, allocations, and expenditures. 
  • Coordinate the implementation of access and participation projects, including recruitment drives, outreach activities, and support programs. 
  • Monitor project activities to ensure they align with approved budgets and timelines. 
  • Address any issues or challenges that arise during project implementation promptly and effectively. 
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of access and participation projects. 
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines governing access and participation initiatives. 
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address any non-compliance issues.
Requirements:
  • ARU undergraduate student
  • Self-Motivated 
  • Capable of working independently while recognizing the importance of seeking guidance. 
  • Proficient level of competence in operating MS Packages (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Flexibility in working hours if needed 
  • Excellent communications skills written and oral 
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
Learning outcomes:
 
At the end of the internship the student will be able to demonstrate:
  • Manage and delivery small scale projects
  • Gain a deeper understanding of supply chain and operational management
  • Technology skills i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Team management skills i.e. effective communication, networking skills etc
Project deliverables:
  • Support the SCM team with core course delivery for Tri 1 BSc Supply Chain
  • Work with the SCM team to develop new course documentation
  • Building a roadmap with the ML on the MES improvement plan
  • Develop content for the Tri 2 & Tri 3 professional experience modules
