Internship Title: Video Creator

Department: Student & Library Services

Location: Cambridge or Chelmsford campus

Start Date: 3rd June 2024

Duration: 12 weeks

Hours: 37hrs per week

Rate of pay: £12ph

Duties:

Preproduction – storyboarding and scripting the video with Library staff input
Following the ARU brand guidelines
Filming video, recording audio and taking photographs across ARU sites
Post-production - Managing video recording and editing; Selection of film and audio including music, Editing and syncing audio and adding graphics.
Suggesting other relevant library video productions

Requirements:

ARU undergraduate student
Some experience of using video and audio equipment
Creative thinker
Time-management skills
Interpersonal and communication skills to work with library staff and technicians
Some experience with video editing software

Learning outcomes:

At the end of the internship you will be able to demonstrate,

Experience of working in a HE environment
Ability to work with a brief in liaison with the client to create and publish a video
Experience of working in a team
Experience of editing a video element to update a video with an existing audio
Knowledge of working with brand guidelines

Project deliverables:

Short 1 to 5 minute videos demonstrating using library software and equipment
Updated library tour videos for Cambridge and Chelmsford
Updated photos for website
